Police crackdown on five’s syabu slinging syndicate

LABUAN: Five including a man were arrested in two separate raids last night with their involvement in the drug trade on Friday.

Narcotics police swooped Labuan Times Square said police chief Ibrahim Ghani at noon which saw two womenโ€™s arrests and seizures of three syabu packets (7.26 grams).

Operations picked up at 1.30pm at a house in Jalan Pulau Buah here where a man and two women other were detained.

โ€œPolice found 56 sachets of what is believed to be crystal meth along with the seizures of RM 4,975 cash and an Isuzu D-Max,โ€ he said in a statement today.

Ibrahum said the suspects age 25 to 38 years and are being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act.

The two women from the first arrest are remanded four days while the second group seven for further investigation.
