Plantation manager caught for criminal breach of trust

SANDAKAN: A plantation manager was caught by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Committee (MACC) here for criminal breach of trust amounting RM 20,000 in 2018.

The money was his own employee’s trust fund.

The 39-year-old was arrested at 9am at the SPRM headquarters.

According to sources, the man withdrew the money through six bank cheques here.

MACC director S. Karunanithy when contacted confirmed the arrest adding the suspect is being investigated under Section 405 of the Penal Code.

“He was released on an RM 5000 bail.

The man will be charged at the Sandakan special corruptions courts on 2nd March.
